This three season, 2-person tent is the result of a collaboration between Eureka! and BlueSky Designs, a design firm noted for its work in universal design. Designed for accessibility and ease-of-use, the spacious interior also makes it ideal for campers looking for extra storage during canoeing, car camping, or touring trips. The Freedom and other accessible tent designs were developed with funding from the USDA Small Business Innovation Research program.
Patent-pending, zipper-less, vestibule door requires minimal dexterity and reach and provides a barrier-free entry. Large usable vestibule area provides extra storage and recreational space. Closed, continuous pole sleeves with post & grommet assembly allows easy set up of tent, including setup by a person using a wheelchair. Pull handles on internal door and window zippers allow easy grasp and zipper operation. Combination side entry doors/windows in sleeping area allow side transfer of a person onto a sleeping cot.
